These summer movie releases are all exciting events, and many of them are long-awaited. Men In Black International

This June 14 release is a reboot of the 90s science fiction series we all know and love Men in Black. Tessa Thompson and Chris Evans play two of the special agents who are called to investigate a series of crimes in London that could only be the work of aliens. It also stars Chris Hemsworth, Kumail Nanjiani, and Rebecca Ferguson

Toy Story 4

On June 21, a new installment in this beloved series comes out. It features Tim Allen, Tom Hanks, and Joan Cusack doing voice acting, along with Tony Hale. Woody and a new toy get separated from their friends, and the rest of the toys have to come together to find them. This Disney release of Toy Story 4 is sure to pull at heartstrings for viewers old and young.

Yesterday

This offbeat comedy revolves around a thought-provoking question: what if The Beatles never existed, but you still knew all of their songs? One down-on-his-luck musician finds out when he wakes up in the hospital to find that no one else remembers the band except for him. Can he make the knowledge work to his advantage? Yesterday stars Ed Sheeran, Kate McKinnon, Himesh Patel, and Lily James in this June 28 release.

Midsommar

If you love horror, you won’t want to miss this second film from director Ari Aster, coming out on July 3. An idyllic, sunny vacation in rural Sweden turns terrifying when a visiting couple gets involved in a local summer festival. The Art of Self-Defense

Jesse Eisenberg stars in this July 12 release about a man who decides to learn karate to defend himself after experiencing a mugging. The film’s dark comedy comes out when he moves on to more advanced night classes and learns more about his teacher and the class. The cast includes Alessandro Nivola, Steve Terada, and Imogen Poots.

The Lion King

The much-anticipated Disney release of The Lion King comes out on July 19, and features highly realistic CGI so we can watch a familiar tale play out with lions and other animals that look true to life. The cast includes plenty of stars, including Beyonce, Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, and James Earl Jones.

Once Upon a Time In Hollywood

On July 26, director Quentin Tarantino releases his 9th film. It’s a comedic drama that follows a television actor and his stunt double as they deal with the way the movie and TV industries have changed. The star-studded cast includes Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio as the main characters, along with Al Pacino and Margot Robbie.

Dora and the Lost City of Gold

The star of the Nickelodeon children’s TV show comes to the big screen on August 2 in this live action movie. Dora must explore the jungle to rescue her parents from a lost Incan city. The cast includes Eva Longoria and Isabela Moner.

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark

Guillermo Del Toro worked as a producer on this adaptation of a horror book many of us grew up with. Releasing on August 9, the movie shows a group of teenagers in the 1960s who find an unsettling book that seems to have an effect on the real world.
