Movieland Blvd Sq Reopens in Richmond, VA

Bow Tie Cinemas to Reopen Richmond, Virginia Movie Theater July 1, 2020 Exhibitor will open with classic favorite movies for $5 and enhanced cleaning and safety protocols

RIDGEFIELD, CONNECTICUT, July 1, 2020 – Bow Tie Cinemas is pleased to announce that it will re-open Movieland at Boulevard Square in Richmond, Virginia on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. Bow Tie Cinemas’ Movieland at Boulevard Square will re-open with some new Hollywood films plus a mix of classic and recent favorites for only $5 per ticket. New movies opening Friday are: John Lewis: Good Trouble, Ella Fitzgerald: Just One of Those Things, and horror-mystery Followed. Favorite titles include: Jaws, The Wizard of Oz, Grease, Ghostbusters, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Deadpool, Bad Boys for Life, Sonic the Hedgehog, Jungle Book, Jumanji: The Next Level, Knives Out, the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings series, and more.

In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bow Tie Cinemas has instituted numerous new policies to keep its customers and employees safe and to comply with applicable guidelines. They include:

  • 100% reserved seating in all auditoriums
  • Auditorium capacity limitations of 50% of available seating
  • A temporary waiver of all advanced ticketing fees on its website or mobile app
  • Selling seats in an alternating pattern so that each customer will have an empty seat on either side
  • Upgrades to its mobile app and lobby kiosks to allow for contact-free purchasing of tickets and concession items
  • Installation of plexiglass barriers at box office, concession and bar counter registers
  • Frequent cleaning of touch points throughout the day
  • Enhancements to nightly professional cleaning
  • Added social distancing markers and directional signage
  • Limitations on restroom and lobby capacities
