Very few genres have the mass appeal of superhero movies. They rightfully earn billions of dollars at the box office, drawing in fans from all walks of life. The modern explosion of superhero films shows no sign of slowing down. Take a look at a few of the top superhero movies coming out this spring and summer.

 

 

Avengers: Infinity War

Release Date: April 27, 2018

The first of two films taking on the infamous Infinity War comic book storyline features many superheroes from prior Marvel outings. This includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Hemsworth, and Mark Ruffalo. Fans can see their favorite heroes take on Thanos and the Children of Thanos, in an effort to save the universe.

Deadpool 2

Release Date: May 18, 2018

This highly-anticipated sequel to 2016’s Deadpool sees series stars Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, and T.J. Miller return. They are joined by Zazie Beets as Domino and Josh Brolin as Cable. We're sure this sequel will turn out just as hilarious and entertaining as the first one!

The Incredibles 2

Release Date: June 15, 2018 

Appeasing fans everywhere, The Incredibles 2 is finally headed to theaters. Holly Hunter, Samuel L. Jackson, and Craig T. Nelson are all returning to reprise the roles they brought to life 14 years earlier. This movie focuses on the dynamics of a family who all have superpowers. Aside from that brief hint, Pixar has kept the major villain and plot points quiet.

Ant-Man and the Wasp

Release Date: July 6, 2018

Starring Paul Rude and Evangeline Lilly, Ant-Man and the Wasp is Marvel’s first film after the universe-changing Avengers: Infinity War. To prevent spoiling the ending of Infinity War, producers are keeping the plot of this film under wraps. It is said to be a lighter outing, focusing more on humor than the heavy-tone of Infinity War. Between the laughs, Ant-Man and Wasp team up to take on threats from their past.

Teen Titans Go! To the Movies

Release Date: July 27, 2018

The cartoon series that has been going strong for four seasons makes the leap to the big screen. DC and Warner Bros. have been tight-lipped about the plot and have only recently started releasing promo material. All of the main voice actors from the series are set to return. Rumor has it that Kristen Bell and Will Arnett are also scheduled to appear in the movie.
