The Disney/Pixar dream team is back again this summer with the third installment of Cars. Lightning McQueen is back and fighting to stay on top as a new generation of racers take over the speedways, leaving McQueen in their dust. Not one to give up easily, McQueen enlists the help of a young race technician eager to keep #95 a Piston Cup champion. With the first film premiering in 2006, kids of all ages have grown up with McQueen and his friends, making Cars 3 a movie the whole family can enjoy. Opens 6/16.
Despicable Me 3
Saving the world from evil continues to be a family affair in the new addition to the Despicable Me franchise as Gru is introduced to his long lost twin brother, Dru. Together, with the help of Gru’s daughters and minions, they must come up with a plan to stop the new big bad, Balthazar Bratt, from taking over the world. Despicable Me 3 is amongst good company seeing as its predecessors have been the biggest animated hits of the past few years, ensuring that this third installment will become an instant family favorite, guaranteed to bring smiles to faces of kids and adults alike. The Emoji Movie
If you’ve ever wondered what your phone thinks of you, then Sony’s summer blockbuster could very well answer all of your questions. Bringing to life the characters we all use every day, The Emoji Movie is sure to be filled with relatable humor that the whole family can laugh along with. My Little Pony: The Movie
Adapted from the TV series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, the movie will follow the adventures of everyone’s favorite ponies as they work together to defeat the dark forces threatening Ponyville. Fun for the kids and a bit of nostalgia for the parents, My Little Pony is a great way to catch up with the magical ponies we all know and love, now voiced by Hollywood stars Taye Diggs, Emily Blunt and Kristin Chenoweth.
